So this is a great time-saving tip: Whenever you have content that you need to get out to people for advertising, for marketing, for service--whatever it is--if you have to create content, I think one of the best things that you can do is to not type it up first. In fact, I think one of the best tips for you is to simply transcribe it.
Now, I transcribe a lot of things; I transcribe a lot of our meetings. In fact, this Zoom meeting that I'm doing right now will be connected with otter.ai. And it automatically transcribes what's going on in these meetings. It transcribes my tips, and it transcribes just about everything that I do through Zoom. I also use a company called rev.com. I can upload information, video, and/or audio, and it will transcribe it and give me all sorts of really valuable information.
I use these tools when I post content to my blog site. I transcribe it and I put it in my blog, which helps me to get higher viewer rankings on the blog and for the book, Achieving Balance, which, as all of you know, will be out next week. I have been able to marshal referred, I've been able to transcribe most of content that I've created for this transcribed interviews that I've done with financial advisors, and then put that in the book. It was transcribed, downloaded, and my editor helped me to flesh that out.
That saved me literally hundreds of hours. Most people don't produce content and share it on social media or share it with their clients because of the time that it takes to create. But we all have cell phones, and you can download Otter, rev.com, or another transcription service. Copytalk is a big one in the financial services world. And you can use those to help you to save time. So I'd love to know how all of you are using transcription to save time.
